The Church of Saint Athanasius is Varna's old metropolitan church.
It was built in its present form in 1838 on the site of an ancient church that had burnt down two years earlier.
The church is very beautiful, spacious and bright, making it particularly suitable for weddings. Arrangements allow all guests to remain seated during the ceremony.
Parking nearby is straightforward.
